K–8 Religious Education
Quality Christian Formation Matters
Our community is here to help. Let's grow in faith together!
At Sheboygan South Catholic Parishes, we partner with parents in forming children as lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. Through prayer, catechesis, sacramental preparation, and community involvement, our Religious Education program helps children grow in their relationship with God and gain a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.
Traditional Classroom Model (Wednesday Evenings)
Time: 4:15 PM–5:30 PM
Location: Faith Formation Office, 834 New Jersey Avenue, Sheboygan
Classes are held September through May.
Each session begins with prayer in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church from 4:15–4:30 PM. During this time, children prepare to hear and reflect on the upcoming Sunday's Gospel. Parents are welcome to join us.
Classes are taught by dedicated catechists using curriculum approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. We use the Blest Are We (RCL Benziger) curriculum to provide a strong foundation in Scripture, Catholic teachings, prayer, and Christian living.
Students participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities including:
- Prayer and Scripture reflection
- Music and worship experiences
